Check-in & Luggage at Düsseldorf Airport
To make sure your holiday starts in a relaxed way, it is worth taking a look at check-in and baggage drop-off at Düsseldorf Airport (DUS). The airport is clearly divided into three terminal areas A, B and C, all located within the same connected main building – so there are no long walks between terminals.
Terminals A, B and C
The three terminals A, B and C are under one roof and connected on foot. Which area applies to you depends on your airline and is shown on your ticket and on the departure boards. Since all terminals are in the same building, you will find your way quickly even if you need to change areas.
Check-in options
- Online check-in: available with most airlines from home before you travel.
- Self-service check-in kiosks in the terminals for boarding passes and baggage tags.
- Traditional check-in desks at the airport for personal assistance.
Luggage and security control
After check-in, drop off your checked luggage at the baggage drop-off station or at the desk. Please note the checked and carry-on baggage allowances of your airline, as these vary depending on your fare. Allow plenty of time for the security control – particularly during school holidays, queues at the checkpoints can build up.
Our tip for a relaxed start
- For package holidays arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure; for long-haul flights allow 3 hours.
- Liquids in carry-on luggage only in containers of up to 100 ml and in a transparent bag.
- Keep travel documents and boarding pass readily accessible.
